On the basis of resumes and recordings submitted, five instrumental candidates will be given the opportunity to audition on Saturday May 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.

The audition  will be held at the Louis Bay 2nd Library, 345 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne NJ 07506, (973) 427-5745.

On the basis of the auditions one instrumentalist will be selected and given the
opportunity to appear as soloist at the Fall concert of the Hawthorne Symphony and will be paid a performance fee of $350.00

To be eligible, those wishing to apply must be residents and attendees in schools in the tri-state area . There is no age limit for applicants. Mail or deliver resumes and recordings to the Hawthorne Library c/o Mrs. Clara Caldarone  by  15 April 2008.

Resumes must contain the following information:

• Name, age, and selected instrument  of candidate
• Address, name of school where in attendance.
